The Class of 2012

Canisius welcomed 816 new freshmen to our campus this fall - the strongest academic class to date. The increased academic ability of the students enrolled in the freshmen class will result into a slightly higher level of admission standards for students applying to enter Canisius in Fall 2009. Students in a strong college-prep schedule senior year with a 3-year cumulative average above 85 are in the best position to earn admission.

The Common Application

This year marks the first year that Canisius is a member of the Common Application. Students applying to Canisus can now apply using the instutional aplication or the Common Application. Those applying online using either one of these options save the $40 application fee. The Canisius College institutional application and the Common Application are treated equally in the application review process.

The 3+2 Dual Degree Physics Engineering Program

Students interested an interdisciplinary career in engineering will be best suited for this demanding Physics and Engineering program. Majoring in Phyisics at Canisius and Engineering at either Pennsylvania State University at Erie or University at Buffalo, students graduate with two Bachelor's of Science degrees. The B.S. in Physics from Canisius College and a B.S. in Engineering from the partner institution.
